When I joined my office, I was suddenly surrounded by people who had 6-7 cups of green tea in a day. Right from the girl who sits next to me to the guy who sat opposite. I was suddenly surrounded by people who were health conscious (no kidding. From keto diet to avoiding junk to liquid diet, we have it all. YIKES!) I knew green tea has its benefits, and it is better than sipping on black coffee or normal tea, but I never really knew why. FOr so long, I stayed away from this beverage because I had heard so much about the taste. Eventually, I gave in and had my first cup of green tea. Although it tasted awful, it really helped to calm my nerves, especially during a particularly long day at work.

Which is why there has been no going back. Even when I was writing this article, I was sipping on green tea while Googling about its benefits and thought you might want to know about it too.
So, here you go:
Helps avoid dark circles and puffy eyes:
The antioxidants and tannins in green tea shrink your blood vessels around the eyes. This aids in reducing the puffiness and swelling. The Vitamin K present in the tea also helps lighten the dark circles.
Leaves you with a youthful, radiant skin:
The beverage is anti-ageing and antioxidant which helps with sagging skin, wrinkles, dark circles, spots and just about everything. Which means, sipping on green tea throughout the day will leave you with a youthful and radiant looking skin! Do I need to say more?
Gives you clear skin:
The next time you are faced with acne or pimple problem, you can turn to green tea for help. It helps in regulating hormonal imbalance as every leaf is full of catechins that help take care of the hormonal problems.
Works as a natural skin toner:
Having a clear, even skin tone without any acne and pimple problems. That’s the dream, right? Well, you do not have to splurge thousands in the salon anymore. Simply wash off your face with cold green tea and see the magic happening as it draws out all the impurities and cleans the pores from within.
Helps improve the skin complexion:
I feel like I’m repeating myself here, but green tea leaves you with a soft and smooth skin. This liquid refreshment has the superpower of treating inflamed patches on your skin and prevent as well as help get rid of blemishes and marks.
Say goodbye to oily skin:
One of the main reasons why I have green tea as often as I do is because it helps with my oily skin. The beverage is full of tannins, which reduces sebum production in our skin. Sipping on green tea helps balance this out and gives a smooth, oil-free and radiant appearance.
Protects your skin from the sun as well:
Well, it's not what it sounds like. Green tea is full of anti-inflammatory properties which helps protect our skin from the sun and heals the rashes and sunburns. Products that have green tea are designed to supply your skin with the nourishment that it needs and soothe your skin.
Hello, good hair days:
The catechin in green tea helps reducing hair loss. Either rinse your hair with green tea twice in a month or have 2-3 cups of this magical drink in a day, every day.
After reading all this, do I really need to list out more benefits of green tea? So, what are you waiting for? Get the ball rolling already!
